pCP runs udhcpc (from Busybox) and gives it the configured hostname
which I presume passes that hostname to the DHCP server that it finds (I
don't know for sure but I do know that my DHCP server recognises the
name.

Have you set your own hostname?
If not it will be picoreplayer I think.

I have set my local DHCP server to use .lan as the domain suffix. Your
might be something else - e.g. .local
