Thank you mrw. I'm not quite clear on what happens in every case, but I
believe that the requirement is often dynamic (i.e. the plugins expect
to be able to alter the advertisement on the fly, depending on what
squeezeboxes are available), so we can't just set up a static
advertisement on the host. Some functions might work this way though,
and you have presumably had success in your system advertising the
server in this way.

We could expose the '/etc/avahi/services' directory into the containers,
but I don't believe Phillipe uses this for any of his plugins (he
actually has an mDNS server built into some or all of them, although
it's not always used). I've no idea what Spotty uses, but Michael would
no doubt be able to tell us.
