FWIW I've been running without them for a month and haven't noticed any issues (although I don't play many files in exotic formats, so maybe I wouldn't). I notice that faad helpfully prints the following message: > Patched for Squeezebox Server: > > * ALAC decoder integrated > > * Seeking support with -j and -e switches > > * STDIN support > > * utgg win32 STDOUT patch > > * Source at https://github.com/ralph-irving/faad2 > > Build: Sep 1 2017 The last line is a worry, since the latest commit to that repository was two months ago for a security issue. Evidently the binary in the container image hasn't been recently rebuilt from that source. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mavit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10203 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111828 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
