Many thanks for your suggestions.
I tried first on the list and it works.
Did you list them in that particular order for a reason other than
compatibility. ie. will there be sound quality differences, or is it a
case of if it works then it isat the best sound quality.
i will try the other two regardless, but thanks for helping this
newbie.

As for roon and squeezelite, i have read that it can be done on my
synology nas drive.
And there is
https://community.roonlabs.com/t/roon-bridge-on-picoreplayer/88820 which
mentions someones attempt. Although i havent read up the rest of that
thread to see if it can be done on picoreplayer. probably not
regardless.
lucky im not a roon user for now as i would miss out on the RAM audio
quality optimised picoreplayer.
