Although it does allow for service discovery, with port numbers, for
example a pointer to an http/html based "Set up page" on a printer.

Apple's Safari used to support browsing for web pages advertised in this
manner. But it was never in the iOS version of Safari, only under macOS,
and for some reason they just arbitrarily withdrew the feature. Very
annoying.
