I don't know alsactl well enough but if the device name is used in a file name, then this could explain the error, as it may be trying to open a file name without interpreting the escaped characters. I have succesfully created a file name Explorer² at the pcp shell but if alsactl doesn't interpret the escape characters in the name, if will be trying to open a file with a different name. I can't answer what happens if you change the file contents as I don't have access to the file or the DAC, I was trying to help Pommes, who is the person with this issue. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ coyrls's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44253 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111540
