Hello there,
I had a Synology 216 with DSM 6.2 working with its Audio Center and USB connected to Epiphany Acoustics E-DAC to my Luxman L-450 amplifier happily listening to music. The Synology died, I bought intel-based Synology DS220+, but DSM 7.0 did not let Synology see the DAC. Apparently it does do passthrough of the USB ports to the virtual machines inside. I installed a Logitech LMS server on a separate machine in the network, and tested picoreplayer on my old Raspberry Pi B (I normally use the rPi to capture photos from an Aquarium, quite far away physically from the amplifier) connected to E-DAC and it worked like a charm (kudos to whoever keeps this solution alive) I want to keep using my Raspberry Pi for the Aquarium, and therefore the question. Could I have a picoreplayer image running as a virtual machine on the Synology and, via the passthrough, reach the E-DAC? I see there is a Debian image for i386, Yoppychia in wordpres.org seems to suggest it is possible: / 2017 / 05 / 29 / raspberry-pi-installing-picore-9-0 Would anyone have more information available on how to have a picoreplayer image running in a virtual machine on an intel-based Synology? Thanks!
