I have a suspicion what might have caused the write permission issue with my stick. The USB stick was originally formatted on a Synology NAS. The data was then copied onto the stick via the NAS. So the rights on the stick were definitely not belonging to "tc". That would explain why initially i could not write to the stick over SAMBA. Clicking "set write permissions" then solved this issue. Why I could then write new files, but not overwrite existing files is not clear to me.
Anyway, issue solved. I have now deleted all the files on the stick and recopied them from the Windows PC via SAMBA. I can now overwrite existing files. - Logitech Media Server Version: 8.1.2 on Synology DS1815+ DSM 6 / Docker - SB Touch (2x) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jacobacci's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63932 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114828 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
