I removed the VRAM plus connected an VGA-Mac adapter (without the screen plugged on it). The VGA Screen is connected to the radeon PCI. Only issue is that you get a black screen while the smiling apple face should be there (this takes 1 minute or so) but after this, osx boots fine. This worked here without any kernel panic. > on 10/3/01 5:47 AM, Myrddin Emyrs at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > >> 7300 (400MHz Carrier MPe) > > >> ATI Radeon PCI Card > > Hello > Off Topic > > Are you saying here that your ATI video card is operable in OSX without a > kernel panic? > > With my 7600 /Sonnet G3 upgarde , using my ATI Rage Orion video card > gives me a kernel panic on bootup. > > I have installed the ATI ROM update patch, but still get a kernel panic > > What did you do to make your video catd work in OSX ? > > thanks for your time > > albert > -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
