I don't think you are wrong at all. I think a LOT of people would buy a Radeon 7000 if it was fully supported in OS X. My main machine is a Ti Powerbook 550 which runs OS X very well. And I am very happy with the way my 7600 runs OS X for use as a second machine (even though it doesn't have a G3/G4 upgrade card). But good video would make it great!!
