I'm not sure about the Ethernet portion of it. However the Ethernet on the E100 is fast so it's equal to a 10/100 PCI card. The Umax S900/j700 machines also have built in Ethernet which is 10 mb. I belive your Cable modem will never go that high in speed so not an issue.
