The SCSI part of the E100 card is unusable in OSX. I'm not sure about 
the Ethernet portion of it. However the Ethernet on the E100 is fast 
so it's equal to a 10/100 PCI card. The Umax S900/j700 machines also 
have built in Ethernet which is 10 mb. I belive your Cable modem will 
never go that high in speed so not an issue.
