hello!

i've been thinking abut getting adsl installed in my new flat (i'm in the
uk, so this is a bit decision!) and then i got to thinking about hosting...

my self and 5 mates all use php and mysql and want our personal sites hosted
somewhere. at the moment we're all paying around 10 to 50 a month for
hosting and a url.

i got thinking - how easy would it be to get NAT adsl installed in my flat
and then set up my g4 running x1.1.3 to host my mates sites?

if i set up a user account per mate, could they then set up their personal
urls to point to my ip address?

for example, say my isp gives me the static ip address of 192.168.254.200 -
the users would then have /~theirname - so they could point to their urls
to:

http://192.168.254.200/~jake

for example.

is it as simple as that????

any thoughts are appreciated,

jake

p.s. if this would work can i do it with standard osx or do i need osx
server?
