I LOVE it. It's a pre-release but is much faster than OS 10.1.x. Some
apps and many utilities do not run on it and I had to hack the system to
change my drive icons, but it is very sweet. I have it running on a B&W
Yosemite at work. Build # is 6C35.

There are some incompatibility problems, but nothing serious enough to
go back to 10.1.x. There was a WWDC build floating around, but this is
not it. It has no Inkwell on it etc...but most of the system has some
drastic changes.

I heard from Ryan on the forums that people have tried and it failed.
Probably due to the different Darwin version and incompats with the
kexts/Darwin.

I might be a little more daring than your brother-in-law. :) But it
hasn't given me headaches yet.
