It should also be noted that once you have this working, you can use 
it to indirectly print from Mac OS X applications.  Anything that can 
print in Mac OS X can print to a PDF file.  So print to a PDF, open 
the PDF in Classic Acrobat Reader, and print it over the network to 
your shared printer.

... set an older version of Acrobat Reader in Classic to be the 
default app for .pdf files.  Then, in any Mac OS X app, you can 
choose "Preview" in the print dialog, which will create a PDF and 
open it in your preferred PDF-viewing app.  It'll open your Classic 
Acrobat Reader and you can then print directly from that app.
