I am having networking problems with a 7300/200 running OS X on an AppleTalk 10BaseT network with eight other pre G-3 Mac's. The 7300 with OS X sees the other Macs and will mount their volumes on the desktop OK.
However, I cannot mount the OS X volume (or any other volume from the 7300) on the other Macs. They will see the 7300 in Chooser but when I enter the owner name and password as a registered user I get a message; "The connection to his server has been unexpectedly broken." Also when I try to connect to the 7300 with a Mac that has a ISP configuration, Remote Access starts up the modem and tries to go online. This modem startup does not happen when I mount any other volumes on the network from the same computer. Security is not a problem I just would like to know how to gain access to the Mac 7300/200 volumes on the other Macs on the network. The OS's involved are 8.1, 8.6 and 9.1 and 10.1.4 Thanks for any advice or links to appropriate OS X networking info --glen (digest mode) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
