I have OS X 10.1.5 running on a SuperMac S900.  OS X is installed on a 9 GB
external hard drive connected to the S900 external SCSI port (bus 1, SCSI
ID 5). I would like to move this drive to the internal SCSI bus. Does
anyone know whether or not you can switch the OS X boot drive to other
buses and SCSI ID's? If so, is this a simple process or am I better off
seeking a different path? I know I've used some SGI's which don't like the
boot drive to be moved to other slots; I'm guessing this is true for OS X
as well.  I am also not opposed to creating another OS X boot drive;
however, I'm hoping there are some simple Unix commands or a OS X utility
that will allow me to simply change the address of the boot drive. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Steve
