I have just installed VueScan scanner software on my Mac 9500 with G3
upgrade to scan from a Microtek E3 SCSI scanner, and was hoping it would
work on OS X (currently 10.1.5) as on OS 9.1. Unfortunately, the SCSI
"issue" which the author notes -- that the scanner can appear as 8
devices instead of one on some G-3 beige Macs and some SCSI adapters --
seems to hit my 9500, too. The author writes that a SCSI driver upgrade
is needed, or another SCSI adapter. (I am using the standard SCSI
interface, presumably as in the beige G-3!)

Does anyone know if there is an SCSI driver upgrade which would solve
this problem?
