Using 10.2 with QuickTime 6 on my 8500, w/ XLR8 G4/450. I enabled the backside cache using the L2CacheConfig 3.3 from Ryan Rempel. It works fine (made a huge difference in performance. Wow!)
Unfortunately, it seems to have brought back the same little blocky color artifacts in video playback that were evident in iMovie et al., due to G4 cache extension conflicting with QT 5. It was fixable by swapping out the Sound Manager extension (from QT 4). That was in OS 9 of course. Anyone see the same thing and know how to fix that in OS 10? Thanks. -- _______________________ Phil Lefebvre Chicago, IL -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
