I have OS X 10.2 installed on an 8 GB drive attached to the internal
SCSI bus of my 8500. It has worked fine for a couple of weeks. I
booted in and out of it to do some troubleshooting, and could not
boot back into it. I think this may have been caused by either Norton
Utilities 7 or Disk Warrior 1.1 fixing it. (Happened to me after
doing that with 10.1). Fine.

Startup Disk CP saw the OS X system in 9, I'd select it, but it would
never boot up, just revert to one of the many OS 8/9 systems I have
on various disks. I tried using Conflict Catcher 9 to select it as a
boot disk at start up (the feature I upgraded for) but the OS X
system was greyed out. Fine.

I booted to the OS 9.1 system on the same disk (my Classic system),
and followed a previous suggestion to debless all the system folders
by removing the Finder, to force it to use the OS X system. Still no
OS X booting, just the flashing question mark. Fine.

Tried to boot from a CD, but no bootable CD I tried will be
recognized by the computer. Zapped the PRAM several times, after both
a warm boot and a cold boot. Nothing happens. Now I'm stuck on a
flashing question mark with no way to boot my computer. Not fine!

Anyone have any suggestions how to get my 8500 back on line, and how
to prevent OS X from becoming "unblessed" in the future? Thanks.
