Are you sure that's the cache? I thought the 9500 had the cache soldered to the motherboard, and was not removeable. It may the ROM chip, which would probably be required for booting. > Also, would a 350MHZ 604e card be faster than the 220MHZ G3 even though >it's a 604e? Probably, depending on the function. The 604e was a pretty fast processor. However, there are no 350 MHz 604e cards that will work in a 9500. Those Mach 5 cards only work in later model 86/9600 machines. -- _______________________ Phil Lefebvre Chicago, IL -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX@;mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX-off@;mail.maclaunch.com> For digest mode, email: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX-digest@;mail.maclaunch.com> Subscription questions: <mailto:listmom@;lemlists.com> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
