Gimp-Print is a set of printer drivers, originally written for the Gimp graphics app and Linux, that have helped a number of people with unsupported or poorly supported printers. I've used it at work to get someone going with their Xerox laser printer, and with their Epson printer, until Epson came out with their own OSX driver.
