Well, I found some interesting details (I think they are interesting anyway :)
First: I had to switch my hard disk and the CD-RS and the DVD drive (from port 1 to 2 of my IDE-Card respectively). With this change, I could finish the installation of Jaguar using XPF 2.2. Second: After doing my first reboot, the machine would hang. Same error(s) as before. Third: I could start Jaguar when I detached my CD-RW and DVD drive. After a bit of tinkering, I discovered that upon a cold boot (means: pulling the plug or leaving the computer of for a longer time) I would have to remove both of them, then after a normal shutdown I could use ONE of the two drives (either one, didn't matter which one at all). Funnily, both of them work in 10.1.5 flawlessly. Conclusion: Jaguar is a bitch (well, no offense meant) Regards, Karsten -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX@;mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX-off@;mail.maclaunch.com> For digest mode, email: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX-digest@;mail.maclaunch.com> Subscription questions: <mailto:listmom@;lemlists.com> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
