I have a full install version of OS 10.0, that I've installed on a couple of
occasions for experimentation via XPostFacto. (8600/XLR8 ZIF Carrier w/G3) The
problem with it was that it wouldn't support my PCI USB or Video cards. (I've
since installed a PCI SCSI 3 card also, but haven't checked to see if it will
work with 10.) I've since found that Apple has the updated drivers/patches
available, which I naturally downloaded.

Now the problem: The patches/updated drivers say they require 10.1.5 or higher.
(Upgrade to 10.1.5 downloaded) Will they work with 10.0? (or be hacked to work
with 10.0) I can't find reference to any update of 10.0 to 10.1. Was 10.1 a
commercial upgrade only? I prefer to use my USB Pro Mouse and both of my 20"
monitors rather than have to use my ADB mouse and only a single monitor. The
8600 has easy access, but I'd prefer to not have to remove my PCI cards just to
use 10 and don't need 10 badly enough to invest in new cards. I require 9.1
for most of my work apps and even use 8.1 for some. (8.1 doesn't support my USB
card, but recognizes and uses my other PCI cards.) I also noticed that 10.1
requires 9.2x. I can install 9.2.2 instead of 9.1 if needed, but have found
9.1 to be faster and more stable for my use.

TIA
David Allen
