The 10.1 disk was free.  I picked it up in person from the Apple 
store in Palo Alto that's 4 blocks from Steve Jobs home.  I don't 
know about the patches, etc. working for you in this upgrade.  But 
it's worth a try for free.  Did I answer the question? Good luck.
