Larry,

My understanding is that the relatively low bus speeds/bandwidth of
unsupported machines like the PowerSurge models cannot benefit from the the
faster 100 and 133 MHz ATA controllers, as they cannot move data fast enough
to saturate even the ATA/66 cards' bandwidth. That being the case, your choice
is between getting a one-time savings on the cheaper card, or looking ahead to
using the card in a future machine that can put the better throughtput to use.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong 8-)
