I've been having a vexing problem lately, and I've seen that others
have as well.

System: 7600 / G4 upgrade, 768 ram, OSX in internal scsi drive, a
Sonnet trio ata/usb/firewire controller, and a ATI Radeon 700 pci card.

One monitor is connected to the internal video, one to the ATI.

At random intervals, (and it seems to have just started recently) the
monitor connected to the internal video will just go black, like it
lost the signal. If the mouse pointer is on the Radeon connected
monitor, it will continue to move select things from the menu, etc
(this is the monitor with the menu bar) If the mouse moves over to the
black monitor, it's gone, and won't come back, so it's not just that
the monitor is flaking out.

1) Does anyone have an idea of what's causing this?

2) If I yank all the VRAM and move the monitor to the second port of
the ATI card, will the system work?
