Hello all, Been following this list for a while, but haven't had an opportunity to post this before today.
I got hold on an 8500/120 which I promptly upgraded with a Sonnet G3/450 card. As expected, it works great with OS 9.1. However, I just recently joined a User Group, and after a couple of presentations I'm totally sold on getting OSX or Jaguar for my machine. As I didn't want to buy a new machine, this mailing list is a godsend for me. Basically, I just wanted to know what OS X/Jaguar-running set-ups those of you with accelerated 8500s use (esp. those of you with Sonnet upgrades). I'm particularly interested in knowing which video cards/CD-burners/hard drive controllers(IDE or otherwise) you are using, so I can buy the right upgrades. I'd hate to clog this list with a lot of redundant mails, so if you wish to send your set-ups to me directly, that'd be great. Then again, there may be others who would like to know about your 8500-based set-ups as well...
