I don't see why this shouldn't work. Although, I would check into whether the Jackhammer is supported under OSX. I don't think that it is, but don't take my word for it. > > Another question I have is for those running 9.2.2 on unsupported > machines. > Is it stable in your experience? At least as good as 9.1? I haven't had a problem with 9.2.2 on both my 8500 and my S900. It does seem more responsive than in the past. > > The other question I have is for those with 9600's with 300mHz or > faster > 604e's who have put G3 or G4 upgrade cards in them. It is a substantially better chip, it lags the 604 in Floating-point, but that is rarely an issue. When it comes to OSX, G3/300 is the minimum to get good performance from it. Also, a G3 is REQUIRED in order to use Jaguar. 604s can only go to 10.1.5, and Jaguar is *much* faster than 10.1x. > > Thanks for any help or opinion My opinion, go for a nice G4/400. Not too expensive and a good performer. Of course, the exact processor upgrade depends on what you want to do....... -Robyn -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
