I don't think the Jackhammer card is supported under OS X. Mine wasn't, but may be older than yours. >The other question I have is for those with 9600's with 300mHz or faster >604e's who have put G3 or G4 upgrade cards in them. Do you think the speed >gain from a 400-450mhz card is worth the investment? You have to use a G3 or G4 upgrade card to run 10.2.x. You can run 10.1.x on a 604. >Would you advise getting a faster card to really see >an appreciable speed gain, or does any G3 or G4 upgrade make a lot of >difference if you're running X? If it costs more than $200, get a used beige G3 instead, the 66 MHz memory bus makes more of a difference than a fast upgrade card. -- Charles Dostale [EMAIL PROTECTED] System Administrator, Silver Oaks Communications http://www.silveroaks.com 824 17th Street, Moline IL USA 61265 309-797-9898 -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
