If typing is all you are doing, and you're not using Office which is a
resource hog, then you should be fine. I always thought it was a waste to
have those extra processors sitting around doing nothing though.

With an upgrade, all the power would be at your disposal all the time in
every app, instead of just those with MP awareness. Also, you may want to
check if Photoshop 7 for OSX will use those extra processors(if you even use
PS7), otherwise they will be even further wasted.

I think the original idea was that OS9 and earlier would eventually support
MP, and until then it was a mean Photoshop box for graphic artists.
