My Mac B&W G3 rev.1 suffered the corruption of the 9 GB OEM HD. I
reformatted with OS 9.1 system disk and installed OS 9.1. I then did a
clean install using Conflict Catcher with my system disk with all my
favorite extensions. When I tried to install Jaguar, I got a message
that the install could not be done as there were issues with the disk.
I'm sorry I can't be more specific than that but it was late, I was
dumb founded and generally confused.

I then remembered my rule that when you install new systems on newly
formatted disks, you will be better off if you check the HD with TTP or
DW. Why? More than once, I've found errors from system installations
that had to be corrected with some disk utility. So I ran TTP and
there were problems that TTP corrected. After that, the installation
of Jaguar went OK. So maybe a look at your disk health with TTP or
your favorite disk utility will help if you haven't done so recently.
Good luck.
Eric
