*** Hi Tom,

Funny you mention that because I was just about to try and find out if there
were people running OS X on something like a G3 400 with 256Mb RAM?

There's a second hand one on sale for an acceptable price but I wanted to
make sure it was worth while. It's supposed to replace my wife's Win2K PC (
Athlon 550Mhz).

What she wants is an office computer for reading mail, using Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, browsing the Internet, viewing jpeg's and QT files. She also
needs to work on files which are on our server and open them over the
network. The computer doesn't have to fly, just work.

I've an iBook 800 and a G4-500 which are OK for me. I'm hesitating if the G3
400 will be enough for her?

I would appreciate if you (and other list members) could give me some
feedback on this issue.

Cheers,
Zoran.

Windows software isn't released, it's allowed to escape.
