and Xbench gives a 26.83 score to the G3 and only a 18.33 for the G4.
Any idea?

XBench isnt the most consistent benchmark; I was able to get an 11-point increase by running it like four times in a row. CineBench is more accurate.

thanx, but the real feedback does not change. Is it possible that on legacy PCI Macs at 50MHz bus speed G3 vs G4 makes no difference?
