Having run 10.1 and 10.2 on my beige G3 (400MHz/448Mb) very happily,

if any of the experts here thought that it might be possible - perhaps
by copying an installed Panther on a supported Mac onto the beige's HD?
Sometimes I wonder if people actually read the list before they post.

As a moderator of another LEM list, I find your attitude offensive and patronising.
I did search the archive of the list before posting.
I did google for web sites with any information about Panther and beige G3s before posting.
I would have thought that Panther on a Beige G3 perfectly meets the definition of 'Unsupported Mac OS X', and I did check the LEM page about the list before posting.
Don't worry, I'm not hanging around.
But just think how many newbies your rude attitude will discourage.
If you're the list nanny then you're a disgrace to your job and your posting will be referred to Dan.
If you're not the list nanny, then you're in breach of LEM list etiquette, and deserve banning immediately. I might even do it myself.
