Try running XP on anything less than a P4 and then see if we are hard done by!!!
The rest of your post was fine, but this is absurd. I have XP on a P II 366 laptop and it runs fine. My main desktop machine at home is a P III 850 and XP flies on that. Server 2003 is even faster than XP on the same hardware!
Please don't throw in gratuitous dumb comments about Windows. It only makes you look foolish.
