I recently upgraded MY B&W ( i know i know , supported) to the Radeon 7000, and Panther, and i cannot say ENOUGH about how massive the improvements in overall speed are! Unless, for some reason i am not aware of, you are not able to enable Quartz Extreme in the 7500 using the (Freeware) "http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/16006"; PCI Extreme Program, by all means , GET THE RADEON 7000!!!!!
Did you try the Rage128 with Panther first or did you do both upgrades at the same time? Panther gives a big speed boost to all video cards, especially slower ones (Rage 128), so I'd like to know if the Radeon 7000 is significantly faster in Panther than the Rage128 (and is that speed worth $120 on an older machine).
