The first thing to do is use the "fsck" command to check and fix the system disk (it should be spelled out a line or two abover the prompt), then remount the root partition read-write (mount -u /). When you're done, you should shut the system down with the "halt" command. But in between, if you're not UNIX-savvy you'll need to give us some more information as to where to look. Which means the panic message. If you can copy that down and send it in, as well as a few lines above that, it would help. -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
