When I formatted the drive and installed Jaguar the drive was controlled by my Acard PCI controller. Never a problem. When I switched to the trio card I just plugged the drive into the trio and it has worked fine ever since..
I did try to do an install of Jaguar onto a drive with a large partition while under The Trio's control and the installer refused to obey.
However I have used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone 10.2.8 onto a large partition and have had no trouble.
