It definitely looks like the G4 500 gives by far the most for your money, but I may be getting my hands on the sonnett G4 1ghz for a ridiculous price. I won't know until next week if it's the version that's compatible with both the beige G3 and the BW.
Ahh that changes everything - if you get it for a ridiculous price it's IMO worth the stuffing around.
XLR8 reports have been generally useful
