Its not a virus, it is a vulnerability. Viruses take advantage of vulnerabilities. Right now there is no known virus that takes advantage of this one. I expect there will be in the future. However, consider this:

It took four years for someone to find a vulnerability for a Trojan Horse in Mac OS X. Only one has been found since its release.

Yeah, there will be a virus to take advantage of this, and then it will be 1 [Mac OS X] to somewhere around 75,000 [Windows all versions].

I guess I am not up to eat crow yet.

Oh and it is real. Apple responded to it yesterday with a press release, all of the virus protection companies have notes on it. Apple says they are looking for a way to fix this in an update.
