Many thanks for very helpful reply! I am sorry I was unspecific: I meant Apples Local Talk printers, such as the Apple Laser Writers (LaserWriter Select, for example), that uses LocalTalk/AppleTalk. wich technically is a serial port
I will try the links, however.
Thanx!

Subject: Serial ports
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have (with a little help from a friend & XpostFacto) gotten OSX 10.3 up
& running on my Desktop G3. It runs fine, althogh a bit slow. But that=92=
s
as expected.
I have network and Zip drive(s) working. BUT i have no printer. I cannot
make OSX even see a serial printer (which is what I had under OS9, the
"classic" apple laserwriter). Ant suggestions as to how to work around
this?
