> I'm having trouble with my cards and Panther. Is it Panther?

Heh.

I've yet to get Panther installed successfully: with native video; PCI
video; Beige G3 or upgraded 7500; Sonnet or XLR8 upgrade cards.

Nothing. I managed to get it *into* the installer a couple of times, but
never past the first reboot.

I've had similar problems and it's different on every machine. I have a 7600 which is happy as a clam on Panther with various processors, video cards (incl. MBoard video), HDs (SCSI & IDE w/PCI card), and other PCI cards. I also have a number of other 7500-9600s which are pickier during the install with certain processors (ie: no G4), or HDs (no IDE), or video (no MBoard, but PCI Rage128 is fine).
