Fyi; I got myself one of those USB/Firewire Combo-cards awhile ago.
As it happened, my Gossamer was steamed up & ready in OSX (10.3.X,
have recently allowed all sorts of upgrades suggested form apple w/o
trouble). And of course a flash-stick worked perfectly in X. Plug &
play. Later re-booted the same machine in OS 9.2.2. And then the
stick never showed up at all. Since I still work in OS9 (pure OS9),
for a number of reasons, I was saved by OSX. And also, my Gossamer
works flawlessly in X (thanks to xpf, of course). Its only drawback
is speed. Almost like running a 9500/120 in 9.1 (or a Quadra 840AV in
8.1). But thats expected.
Anyway, X rules!
