Anyone tried using a Sonnet ATA/100 IDE PCI card in an 8500 or 9500 (or
similar), and noticed any conflicts?
1. OS X 10.3.9 system freeze when ATA/100 attached Seagate 80GB used in
conjunction with an M-Audio 2496 PCI sound card
2. Slows down system performance.
3. Audio stutter/failure in an 8500 under Jaguar when used with an
M-Audio 2496 card.
Any known fixes?
I cannot use the latest M-Audio driver due to OS X 10.3.9 startup
problems (crashes with any version greater than 1.2.1).
Can I use an ATA100 driver from another company, that might fix the
problem? other fixes?
