The latest Software update of iTunes and Quicktime may be involved. Quicktime 7.0.4 may be the culprit. Did you recently do the recommended software update?

Trying to recall a discussion ... maybe suggest searching Apple Discussion ...

I have both a 9500 and an 8500 running 10.3.9.

One that has the ATI Radeon 7000 ME worked fine ... the other with an older video card, an ixmicro ultimateRez, started misbehaving when I Downloaded and Installed the recommended software updates. I'm getting another ATI Radeon 7000ME, since I'm using Xpostfacto 4 to handle OS X 10.3.9. Just works better.

I needed to do an Uninstall of the later Quicktime ... there's an Apple page that gives the Uninstaller.

It was also suggested that we go back to iTunes 6.5.2 or something.

I believe it all has to do with video upgrades ... iTunes new video capability ... Quicktime ... and maybe Safari, since it uses Quicktime.

Apologies for the rambling ... it's late here in Virginia.

I click on the dock icon (or in applications) and the app seems to be
starting, then stops.

Anyone have similar problems? Anyone solve similar problems?
