Those were things I had problems with, because of the latest Software Update recommended for my Panther 10.3.9.

I also successfully demoted Quicktime, but I left iTunes at 6.0.2 on my 8500. Things are running fine.

There are several topics on Safari not starting up in the Apple Discussion group under Safari. I searched on "dock icon not bounce" (without the " "), and got a number of responses.

I currently don't have any personal experiences with this one ... so may I suggest the Search at apple.com?

Let us know how you're making out ...

Quicktime 7.0.4 may be the culprit. Did you recently do the recommended

(snip)

I demoted Quicktime clear back to 6.x or something with the d/l s you
suggested.

No joy. How to unload/reload iTunes? por favor?
