The April gathering of the Nebraska Lutherans for Confessional Study (NLCS) 
will be held on Thursday, April 29 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 
Wildbriar Lane inLincoln. Refreshments will be in the fellowship hall at 9:30 
am followed by Matins at 10 am. Presenter for the morning will be Rev. Scott 
Porath, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eagle.  His topic will be “The Means of 
Grace According to the Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church" by Tom 
G. A. Hardt. The morning session will start at about 10:30. Following lunch the 
afternoon topic, starting at about 1 pm., will be led by Rev. Ryan Loeslie from 
Immanuel Lutheran Church in Merna. His presentation will focus on the “Amt 
Theses” from Walther’s Church and Ministry.  Meeting will conclude by 2:30 pm. 
Everyone is invited, both clergy and laity. A free-will offering will be taken 
to help defray expenses.
