The April gathering of the Nebraska Lutherans for Confessional Study (NLCS)
will be held on Thursday, April 28 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825
Wildbriar Lane in Lincoln. Refreshments will be in the fellowship hall at 9:30
am followed by Matins at 10 am. Presenter for the day will be Dr. Joseph Herl,
Associate Professor of Music and Chair of the Music Department at Concordia
University in Seward. His topic will be “Why Traditionalists Don’t Like Praise
Bands.” Dr. Herl has authored numerous books and articles on the topic of
worship and music as well as many original compositions.

The morning session will start at about 10:30. The afternoon session will
follow lunch; meeting will conclude by 2:30 pm. Everyone is invited, both
clergy and laity. A free-will offering will be taken to help defray expenses.
