[Note: Pr. Ketcham tends to leave me without a subject line for his posts;
therefore, all who want stuff forwarded might want to recall, "Without
guidance, you get whatever I send out!" You'll note I simply took up his
"frenetic pace of the season" as the most fitting key to the subject line... -

"I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go..."
Song of Solomon 3:4
Dear Christians: Greetings in the One whose death, shrouded in Judgment's
darkness, restores the sight of Light of Life.
As we approach the holiest of the holy days of Lent, we will convene Monday
morning here at Saint John, Audubon, for our monthly Lutheran Confessions
Study Club.
In anticipation of our continued study of the Solid Declaration of the
Formula of Concord, Article V, we are reminded:
"As the distinction between the Law and the Gospel is a special brilliant
light, which serves to the end that God's Word may be rightly divided, and
the Scriptures of the holy prophets and apostles may be properly explained
and understood, we must guard it with especial care, in order that these two
doctrines may not be mingled with one another, or a law be made out of the
Gospel, whereby the merit of Christ is obscured and troubled consciences are
robbed of their comfort, which they otherwise have in the holy Gospel when
it is preached genuinely and in its purity, and by which they can support
themselves in their most grievous trials against the terrors of the Law."
FC SD V para 1, Law and Gospel
Coffee and rolls upon your arrival here will be followed by Matins at
9:30am. Those who are able to do so are encouraged to stay for lunch after
our morning study.
While the frenetic pace of the season may make the schedule seem difficult,
please take this opportunity to be refreshed and renewed, in the communion
of Christ's Church, as we gather in our Lord's Name to pray, and to think on
and sing of His wondrous works.
Jesus is with you and your dear ones,
