unfortunately, that's the real problem... only opera, khtml, safari
nightly builds, and firefox have even limited support. there are
plugins for other browsers, but flash has way better penetration.

as an added bonus, it looks like over 50% of IE users on most of my
sites are still using IE 6, and i don't even think they make an SVG
plugin for IE 6.
